The ideal candidate should be a Ph.D. or a Master's degree holder in the relevant subject area. He/she should have an academic bent of mind with a flair for innovative teaching and research. Previous IT industry experience or teaching experience in IT will be an added advantage . SYSTEM ADMINISTRATOR
SCIT has a number of servers and a network servicing nearly 150 nodes. The job involves administering all these services & servers. Candidates should have a sound knowledge of a range of servers, operating systems and internet applications. Minimum qualifications are Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/ Applications / Electronics/Engineering. Certifications like CCNA, MCSE, Red-Hat, MCSD, SCJP & ORACLE are an added qualification. Candidates with experience will be preferred.
LAB INSTRUCTORS
(Network & Software Labs)
Candidates should have flair for teaching and guiding students in the labs and willing to work in shifts. This is a stepping-stone to Faculty positions. Minimum qualifications are Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/ Applications / Electronics/Engineering. Certifications like CCNA, MCSE, Red-Hat, MCSD, SCJP & ORACLE are an added qualification. Those pursuing or having a Masters degree in IT/Computer Science areas will be preferred.
COORDINATOR
Candidates should have minimum a Bachelor's degree and must be comfortable with the use of computers & MS-Office and should have good communications skill (written and verbal). Candidate having experience in academic administration will be preferred. The job involves coordination of various academic activities at SCIT.
OFFICE ASSISTANTS
Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree and must be comfortable with computers & MS-Office with good communication skill. The job involves reception at SCIT and assisting in office administration including office correspondence files.
