AICTE: SCIT is an approved postgraduate institute by AICTE (All India Council
for Technical Education). The programmes offered are accordingly approved.
NAAC: SCIT is among the very few Indian institutions of postgraduate
IT education with NAAC accreditation, dedicated almost exclusively
to evolving domain-specific IT professionals. 'National Assessment & Accreditation
Council' (NAAC) is an autonomous body set up by the University
Grants Commission of India for assessing the quality of higher
education.
Registered Education Provider of PMI
Project Management
has assumed tremendous importance in the IT industry
for delivering any solution. All SCIT programmes
recognize this need and have a component on Project
Management. From October 2006, SCIT has become
a Registered Education Provider that facilitates
a student to receive a PMP certification in future,
if desired.
Collaboration SCIT-EPITECH, Paris
SCIT and a renowned French IT School, Epitech,
Paris has agreed to work together on various fronts
to exchange knowledge and enhance educational quality.
A beginning was made when SCIT students worked on-line
with Epitech students on two software projects. Later,
a team of 9 French students came to SCIT to take
the projects further. It was indeed a cross-cultural
interaction as a Japanese student studying at SCIT
was also a part of one of the projects.
