Eklavya
A major initiative by students is Eklavya, a club where awareness of social responsibilities is a prime goal. Students largely conduct street plays to spread a message of topical nature and involve more and more people.

Prayatna
Was set up by an ex-Symbiosis student to help slum children around Hinjewadi to come into the main stream. Students voluntarily organize activities involving these children, participate with them and raise funds for their education and well being.

Ralegan Siddhi, A Model Village
Each and every student participated in the programme at Ralegan Siddhi. The principle practiced was 'give and take'-give knowledge and take values. The students spent the first part of their stay in delivering training programmes to nearly 200 students and in the second part contributed in building village roads. They also got an opportunity to interact with renowned social worker and activist Anna Hazare, who had enlightened them with his experiences and instilled in them the qualities of a simple and humble life.

Hinjawadi Schools
Teams of students have been working in 3 schools around Hinjawadi, one of which is a school for handicapped students. SCIT students visit the schools and impart IT training to them and also distribute free softwares.
