Under the E Cell banner, the iTELF committee organised its flagship annual entrepreneurship event, SPROUT IT 2026 on 12th September, 2026, bringing together student participants for a day centred around entrepreneurship, innovation and technology. Extending its reach “beyond the boundaries of Pune and Maharashtra”, this year’s edition carried the theme ‘Creatiflect’, celebrating the journey of creating an idea and transforming it into an innovation.

The event commenced with a welcome address by Professor Dr. Raghav Sandhane, followed by the ceremonial lamp lighting in the presence of Director Dr. Dhanya Pramod, Chief Guest Mr. David Peter Rajkumar, Founder & CEO, Triumphal Tech Solutions, and investors Mr. Subhash Lode, CEO, Bharat Valley Incubator & Accelerator, Mr. Ketan Premani, MD, Angel Investor & Stanford Seed Consultant, and Mr. Mahesh Kulkarni, CFO, Business Advisor & Angel Investor.

Director Dr. Dhanya Pramod reflected on SPROUT IT’s 10-year legacy, highlighting the importance of a strong investor ecosystem and nurturing the ABCD of technology and business: AI, Business, Cybersecurity and Data. She emphasised the need for an environment that encourages entrepreneurship, responsible use of technology and individuals who can identify problems and create meaningful solutions. Mr. David Peter Rajkumar shared insights from his entrepreneurial journey across AI, blockchain and cryptocurrency, highlighting the importance of sound judgement during crises, while Mr. Mukesh Pharande, General Manager, Balaji Wires and Strategic Value Creation Specialist, spoke about strategic value creation. The inaugural proceedings concluded with the Vote of Thanks by the iTELF SPOCs.

The day featured a diverse lineup of events. E MUN challenged delegates to navigate diplomacy, de-escalation and global trade through the agenda “Maintaining Global Supply Chain Stability and Maritime Security Amidst the Strait of Hormuz Blockade”. Biznovator, themed “Innovation Seeds Tomorrow, Live Pitch Day”, gave six teams a platform to pitch their ventures. Crisis Case tested strategic decision making through a live crisis simulation. Product Genesis took teams from idea validation to building and pitching a product concept, while Corporate Decoder challenged participants with progressive puzzles and analytical challenges through an immersive investigation.
With enthusiastic participation and healthy competition, SPROUT IT 2026 proved to be a vibrant celebration of innovation and entrepreneurial spirit. The event concluded with captivating performances by the Eklavya Committee, Konnect Committee and Symbeats Committee, followed by an enthralling DJ night that brought the celebrations to a memorable close.
