Student Achievements

The entrepreneurial stimulus and the associated knowledge sharing and exposure to the students of SCIT is driven through its IT Entrepreneurship and Leadership Forum (ITELF). The main objective of ITELF is to bring together the students, faculty, and industry experts to promote real-life experiences and business insights to aspiring entrepreneurs and to contribute in developing the entrepreneurial mindset among all.

ITLEF conducts events throughout the year. SPROUT IT is a two-day national level event held every year since 2010, as part of the activities and initiatives of the ITELF. The theme of SPROUT IT is unique every year and revolves around various business aspects like idea generation, opportunity evaluation, funding, streamlining of operations etc. The event invites entrepreneurs, VCs as well as incubation centres interested to invest money in the ideas presented in the event.

SPROUT IT has faculty members who give direction in decision making, however, the event is completely managed by the students. While SPROUT IT has a sleeve of events, the most significant part is the hosting of panel discussion. Entrepreneurs - both IT and Non-IT, Industry experts and CxO’s of small and medium sized organizations on a single forum share their journeys with the students. The panel members talk about generation of ideas, forming of strategies during early times, and they throw light on the challenges faced in the entrepreneurial journey. A large pool of knowledge is being created and consumed in SPROUT IT.
