About the Program- The 2nd edition of ‘Corporate Charcha’, a panel discussion organized by the Guest Lecture Committee (ITBM) of Symbiosis Centre for Information Technology.
‘Corporate Charcha’ aims to bring together industry leaders and domain experts who could motivate and enlighten our students on topics relevant to the industry. It is going to be an enthralling yet informative discussion that will also act as an open platform for the students to put forward their queries and be at par with the current happenings in the industry.
Purpose - As we know, the tendency towards migration to cloud environments started in the year 2019, which indicates a flourishing trend in the next couple of years. Despite the numerous benefits of cloud computing for businesses or individuals, security issues still have been stated as one of the top cloud challenges. Organizations are falling prey to more breaches as we move towards the cloud space. Because of its multiple benefits, as organizations are migrating towards cloud, it also exposes sensitive business data. It seems like every day there's a new incident of customer data exposure.
Keeping this in view, we have come up with the theme of this year’s ‘Corporate Charcha’.
Theme- 'Cloud Security and its significance in the present changing times'.
1) Mr. Pons Mudivai Arun - He is currently associated with Citrix as a director of products (Cyber Security). He is a cyber defense evangelist with more than 20 years of experience in cyber security and is also a speaker in various security forums. Prior to Citrix, he held various global leadership positions at Cisco and Oracle.
2) Mr. Jitendra Guha Neogi - He is a Senior Manager in Cloud Technology with Accenture in India. He has around two decades of work experience in the Information Technology Industry, in which he spent 11 years abroad working with clients in the USA and in the UK. With extensive management consulting experience in Cloud Computing, Product and Application Development, he has been leading the delivery of cloud solutions for global organizations.
3) Ms. Mani Keerthi N- She is currently associated with Ballard Power Systems as a security lead. She is a cyber security expert with a passion for implementing security frameworks and bringing balance between security and operations. With previous experiences at big 4's like EY and Delloite, she has certifications like CISA, CISM, CRISC to name a few. She is an alumnus of SCIT of the 2014 batch.
4) Ms. Bishakha Jain- She is an alumnus of SCIT, 2019 batch. She is currently serving as a Senior Cyber Security Consultant at IBM. She is also the Director and Indian brand ambassador for Cyber Security Global Alliance. A seasoned IT practitioner with demonstrated history across various domains. She is an active cyber security evangelist and is appointed as associate lead for education and awareness for IBM's community for women in security called WISE.
